Occupational Health and Safety
OHS aims to train "OHS specialists" who have sufficient knowledge in the field of biology and can identify physical, chemical, and psychological hazards to ensure the safety of the workplace environment. It is abbreviated as OHS for short. OHS specialists are experts who work to create safe and healthy working environments for workers and employers. With the enactment of Law No. 6331 on Occupational Health and Safety, obtaining OHS services became mandatory regardless of the number of employees and sector. Thus, the employment of occupational safety specialists became mandatory for all sectors. Students who graduate from the OHS program gain the title of "occupational safety specialist" by taking the specialization exam opened by the Ministry of Labor and Social Services and Family. Graduates can also work in private/public institutions and in Joint Health and Safety Units authorized by the Ministry.
What is the Purpose of Occupational Health and Safety?

The goal of a multidisciplinary occupational health and safety team is to design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive health and safety program that will protect and improve health, increase safety, and enhance productivity. Such programs often provide similar outcomes for employees' families and, consequently, provide financial and other benefits to the company.
